Sure. I’m come from BYD Auto. I’m charging for the BYD Auto global marketing things. I’m the market manager.
好的。现在我在比亚迪汽车公司负责比亚迪汽车的在全球的汽车市场营销。是比亚迪出口贸易事业部市场部的经理。

We know that BYD has many activities in the beginning of the 2008, from crusading for the Geneva Auto Show, and than F6 lunched to the domestic Market on March 18th. and all have good response from customers. , so we want to know what can we anticipate in Beijing auto Show ?
我们知道08年初比亚迪就举措连连。先是征战日内瓦车展,再到18日F6全国上市,均表现不俗,那么,此次北京车展,比亚迪又给我们带来了怎样的惊喜?
嘉宾:
Thanks。Actually,we not only went for Geneva Auto Show, but also attended the January Detroit Auto Show. And we attended the January Detroit Auto Show and the March Geneva Auto Show, and then back to China to attend this most important Auto Show here, in China, the Beijing Auto Show. We are so in the list of the two of the top five shows in the world to show our DM technology. In this time, for Beijing Auto Show, which we participate in before Olympic Games, we bring our F6. F6 is our electric vehicle; its difference between the same concept vehicle from other company is that they are not concept. We are ready to achieve the production of the car in the beginning of 2009 and go for the markets.
非常感谢。事实上,我们不仅参加了3月份的日内瓦车展,还参加了1月份的底特律车展。这次,我们又回到中国参加如此重要的北京车展。我们之所以这样做,连连参加世界顶级车展,就是想展示我们的DM技术。此次北京车展,我们带来了我们的F6DM车型,它与其他大公司相应车型的区别就在于它并不是一款概念车,我们将于2008年底小批量生产该车并将投放市场。

Thanks. We notice that BYD has been attending the global auto show for 2 times. So we want to know is there anything BYD want to do in the overseas market?
非常感谢您。我们注意到比亚迪已经两次参加全球性车展,基于此我们欲求了解比亚迪海外战略。
嘉宾:
Well, in the overseas market, work by 2 facets. The first one is we will go for the traditional gasoline car in the developing markets, we call the emerging market. For example, the Africa, the Middle East, the Russia, especially, the Latin America.. The second one is we will go for our new energy car. Our car, we call the DM, and the new hybrid cars and our pure electric vehicles in the advanced countries, like UK and US. Because in these two markets, the very important thing is to gain the selling points. New energy car, especially, for BYD, make us to be a little different, and to be more acceptable by local users.
对于海外市场,我们将从两方面着手。一是我们将在发展中国家市场,也就是我们所说的新兴汽车市场,比如非洲市场,中东市场,俄罗斯市场,尤其是拉丁美洲市场等。投放我们传统的汽油车;另一个是我们将在发达国家市场,如英国市场和美国市场,投放我们的新能源车,也就是我们所说的DM技术车型--我们的纯电动能源汽车和混合动力车。因为在这两个市场,我们的车型比较有卖点。我们的新能源汽车让我们与其他的汽车相比有所不同,更容易让当地的用户接受。

Ok. Thanks. There are a lot of challenges opening up the oversea market . Quality and service have been major challenges. Could you please tell us something about how BYD do for the quality and service?
谢谢。开拓海外市场挑战重重,质量和服务是最大的挑战。您能为我们谈谈比亚迪在这方面是怎么做的吗?
嘉宾:
To entry the overseas market, for sure, we are facing the difficult grounds, especially, the multi-nation competitors, which has more than 100 years history. So we are in a very risky ground, or a ground full of challenges and chance. It’s better for us. we need to focus on the aftersale market. In case, we are doing the new energy car in these markets which have to also worry about attracting guarantees, to build us some confident about our cars. And also for the emerging market and traditional gasoline market, we also focus on these kind of good guarantees. In most of our markets, our guarantee tries more than Korean brands or Japanese brands.
进入海外市场,我们正面临着一个很复杂的背景环境。尤其是面临着拥有上百年历史的跨国公司。所以,我们既面临着机遇,也面临着挑战。对于我们来说,我们将集中精力去做好售后市场的服务。目前,我们在这些市场销售的新能源汽车,我们也比较担心是否会对客户有很好的保证,所以我们也在努力的做好这方面的工作加强我们的销售信心。对于新兴的汽车市场,我们销售的传统的汽油车,我们也将为客户提供很好的保证。在某些市场,我们的售后质保已长于了某些韩国品牌和日本品牌。

we know from the history that the export of domestic brands are mainly depending on lower prices to win the oversea market, Is there anything BYD is trying to do other than competitive pricing method?
历史告诉我们,国产汽车出口主要是靠低价策略赢得海外市场。相对于富有竞争力的价格,贵公司是否试图在其他方面力求突破?
嘉宾:
Ok. For this point, I want to remind again that BYD auto all come from BYD group. BYD is a multi-national company. We are handling overseas markets for more than 13 years, for IT business, we are talking about, probably more than 70% of our plants all come from overseas. So, we have the very good human resource, after this year’s development, we have the very good management and human resource for listing the far growing business. And regarding to the overseas market, we are talking about, Chinese product to enter global market always facing the challenge. Because everybody think about that “Made in China”, it means the low level. So we are talking about there are a lot of brands in the market, like European Brand,American brands, Japanese brands, Korean brands, so everyone think Chinese brands should be the lowest in all the brands. So we don’t want to go for this part and even, our future is not here. That’s why we are taking our new energy car in 2 global market, and in this case, we can have th different selling point to others. For sure, our cell new energy car, cell hybrid system will be competitive in the foreign brands. So we will work by two feet as well. One is: we will offer very competitive price , and also we will offer very good confident for unusual, to mean that, BYD is a technical company.
从这个角度上来说,我还是想重申一下,比亚迪汽车都来自于比亚迪的产品。比亚迪是一个跨国公司。我们的海外业务已经发展了13年之久。比如说,我们的IT业务,70%以上的公司都建在海外。所以,我们有很多的人力资源,在这一年的发展之后,我们将有充足的管理资源和人力资源来支撑我们高速发展起来的业务。谈及我们刚刚在谈的海外市场,中国产品要进入这个市场确实要面临很多的挑战。因为每个人都认为“中国制造”就意味着低劣产品。在成熟的汽车市场,比如说在国际汽车市场,有很多的品牌在销售,有美国的品牌,有日本的品牌,还有韩国的品牌等等很多,消费者就自然而然的认为中国的品牌在这些品牌中应该是最低端的产品了。所以我们不想再向这个方向前进,我们的将来也就不会在这里。这就是为什么我们在这两个市场推广新能源车的原因。只有以这种形式,我们才会有不同于其他企业的卖点。所以我们的新能源汽车,DM汽车在国外品牌中比较有竞争力。我们在用两条腿走路,一个是价格上的竞争优势,一个是技术上的竞争优势。

Thanks。Now I have another question. The question is that as a domestic brand, I think BYD is not only focusing on the profit, so could you tell us what will BYD do in overseas market other than just making profit?
谢谢。现在我还又有一个问题。就是作为中国自主品牌,我想比亚迪决不只专注于赚取利润,请给我们阐述比亚迪在未来在海外市场方面将要实现的是什么?
嘉宾:
Of course, to one company, profit is a very important thing, and every thing should have the reasonable profit. In this case, the company can have the very good inventory, But BYD, the different things to BYD, we have two main business, and up to now, our main business is IT part, so we have a very good, how to say, financial back ground. So we are not so worry about the profit or the margin we get from auto business. In this case, we can invest more and more long term in western for R&D for this kind of things. That makes the difference.
当然,作为一个公司,盈利当然是很重要的,每件事情都要有合理的利润,这样,公司才会有更好的资源存储。但是,比亚迪公司又与其他公司有所区别。因为我们有两个业务点,到目前为止,我们的主流业务还是IT业务,所以,我们有一个很好的资金背景。我们不必一直计较于我们能够从每台汽车的买卖中获得多少利润,我们就可以大胆的在R&D,或者同类业务方面做大胆的长期的投资。这就是我们的优势所在,也是我们与其他企业不同的地方。并且,随着环境的恶化和能源储备的减少,我们的生存压力越来越重,我们坚持推进新能源车的战略,也希望借此来改变社会对能源的依赖,提供给后代一个更好的生存环境,我想这就是我们除了盈利以外的社会使命。
